Youth Counselling (Age 10-25)

Miranda recognizes the positive impact counselling has on overall well-being, stress management, and personal growth. She is passionate about assisting clients with developing coping strategies to navigate difficult emotions or experiences.

Miranda has a background as a child educator with youth and adolescents and has experience supporting children diagnosed with Autism as an after-school support worker. She enjoys working with people of all ages and finds helping others an enriching experience. Miranda volunteers with Kids Help Phone Canada as a Crisis Responder and has knowledgeable skills in safety planning and risk assessment to assist youth in crisis.

Miranda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick and is completing the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University.

In her free time, Miranda enjoys reading, watching movies at the theatre, and Pilates.

Miranda’s Approach:

Miranda is naturally drawn to the person-centred approach and working from a strengths-based perspective. She also recognizes that her education has provided her with a toolbox of various theories and frameworks to fit each unique client’s needs.
